Artist Spotlight | Ken Loi :: 2011 Bootleg Pack
Personally, when I think of amazing bootlegs and mixes, one of the first names that comes to my head is none other than Ken Loi. During the day, Ken Loi works as an EMT, but as soon as that sun goes down, he tears down the house as he sets the tone for any party-goer as a ground-breaking producer/DJ. Supported by so many big names in the game, including Tiësto, Steve Aoki, Wolfgang Gartner, and Kaskade, Ken Loi is not slowing down anytime soon. His recent signings include Dim Mak, High Contrast Recordings & Big Beat/Atlantic Records, and was recently named Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2011 by Tiësto on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ poll.
Ken Loi has produced some unbelievable and noteworthy bootleg tracks, most commonly known for his bootleg release of The Ting Ting’s Hands which rapidly went viral with full support from Tiësto as he played it on tour at worldwide events, such as Stereosonic Festival Australia, Ultra Music Festival, and Energy 2011 to name a few. Ken Loi’s remix of Martin Solveig’s “Hello,” released on Mixture, also created buzz around the world. There is no doubt that the turning point of his career was his remix of Kaskade & Tiësto’s smash hit Only You as it broke into the Beatport Top 100 Chart that has allowed Ken Loi to be undoubtedly recognized around the world.
In October, Ken Loi had the opportunity to open for the living legend and Godfather himself at Tiësto’s last stop of the College Invasion Tour at the Home Depot Center that attracted a crowd of over 20,000 EDM lovers after he delivered an unbelievable set at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for Tiësto’s residency.
As 2011 was the year EDM took over, Ken Loi delivered some unbelievable bootlegs. There is no doubt that Ken Loi is going to dominate 2012 as America’s newest breakthrough DJ. His exceptional talent exceeds everyone’s expectations and his unconditional passion for music is evident. We cannot wait to see what 2012 has in store for Ken Loi, but if there is anything we can say, it is that Ken Loi will be dominating the EDM charts in 2012. Check out his various bootlegs throughout the year, and we can reassure you that you are bound to fall in love with just about all of them!
